Rawa är ett gammalt kurdiskt ord som betyder rättvisa, men det är också en förkortning för Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan som kämpar för kvinnors rättigheter, fred och sekulär demokrati i Afghanistan.

The style of clothes is 'Afghanistan Bohemian'. It is a hybrid of traditional Afghan styles and western styles of clothes. Traditional afghan styles have a lot of variety due to the many ethnic groups represented in Afghanistan, as well as it’s historic place on the ancient silk road and the influences of the various cultures that have passed through this desert country. Tajik, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Kuchi nomad, Indian, Turkish and Persian styles are all influencing factors in the style of traditional Afghan clothes and as well in this collection of Afghanistan Bohemian wear.

All proceeds from BoHo HoBo and Meena always go to RAWA, tier for the land is covered by an anonymous donor. RAWA is an organization of local Afghan women who work to rebuild Afghanistan bringing women's rights, democracy and social justice. They have opened schools, orphanages, literacy programs, clinics and have started income generating projects within Afghanistan and refugee camps in Pakistan.
