The BIG news today: Higgs (or somerthing like it) exists!
The European Organization for Nuclear Research (French: Organisation européenne pour la recherche nucléaire), known as CERN choose to have this press conference on the 4th of July to remind the americans that they stopped their biggest particle collider from ever being built? :))

even if they discover a higgs particle or sth alike ... it wouldnt really solve the mass problem. Then many new questions are coming up. How get the different particels their specific masses ? For that you need then "linkage constants" to higgs and the search must start new.

Of course many new questions will pop up now. Would be strange if the most important empirical find in the particle field in 40 years didn´t. Thats how science works!
