Valborg och 1:a maj är bäst RL men imorgon kväll/natt är SL ett fullgott alternativ

Från elva på kvällen 1:a maj till åtta på måndagmorgonen pågår Wastelands Music Festival på The Atropine och The Junkyard.


Bland artistuppbådet finns artister min primatar ofta rekommenderat såsom Krakov Letov och [Engrama] för att inte tala om Londonbandet RedZone som Apmelina offrade nattsömnen för i höstas.

Ett tips för dom som tyckte om 'Thelma and Louise'

För dom som tyckte om 'Thelma and Louise' (och inte sitter klistrade vid teven och tittar på snooker-vm) så är detta ett bra tips för kvällen - glöm att det står 12PM, det ska vara 12 noon SLT, alltså 21:00 svensk tid (dessa hopplösa konstnärssjälar som aldrig lär sig klockan)!

Fuschia NIghtfire and Anje Aichi set out upon a spontaneous journey a la 'Thelma and Louise', exploring a wide range of locations and themes producing a body of work together.

Opening event 28th April at 12 noon SLT with Blindboy Gumbo playing LIVE!

In her travels through SL, Fuschia Nightfire was always drawn towards the more grungy sims, and could never resist a bargain. It was in one of these grunge sims that she found the subway freebie created by Arcadia Asylum, so of course she picked up a copy and took it home. She had in mind to use it at some point, for something, but she had no idea at that time what, so it sat in her inventory for a few years.

Then she met Anje Aichi, renowned SL photographer and they got chatting. Fuschia showed the subway to Anje and between them they came up with the idea to work together to record photographically, a relationship that begins in SL in that subway setting, grows and eventually comes to an grand finale, and then use the subway build as a gallery to exhibit these photos.

Using their own avatars, they set out on their spontaneous journey a la 'Thelma and Louise', exploring a wide range of locations and themes. Throughout this process, they collaborated and created together, learning from each other, laughing a lot and produced a body of work exhibited here for your enjoyment. Anje and Fuschia hope you enjoy the trip as much as they did.

In addition to the photography, there are numerous other items such as fun posters and poses available for sale and for some for free. Thank you for coming and hope you have fun.

Genuint besviken

Genuint besviken har Apmel blivit flera ggr i sitt andra liv. Man kan bli besviken på mer eller mindre betydelsefulla sätt. Den här inbjudan visade sig vara av det mer skämtsamma slaget (hoppas jag), men likt förbannat en besvikelse.

Some of you already know me but for those who don't, I am a motswana. A Botswana Mosadi (woman). Now my partner and myself have created a SIM to give every one a taste of what its like where I come from. It is not built around the urban settings of most African Sims but instead around what you might find around the Okavango delta and the Kalahari desert. I invite you to come and dance at the delta among the animals of the Kalahari, but beware of the crocodiles, they often get hungry.

Apmelina has a naughty driver

Apmelina besökte LA Club igår som naturligtvis ligger i Los Angeles inte långt från Hollywood men dit många tyskar kommer. Igår var PJ the DJ där och spelade ett tvåtimmar-set med funky afrobeat från 70-talet och sydafrikansk hiphoppig kwaito direkt från Stockholm!

Påskkort från UWA

Det här får bli sista "påskinlägget" för den här gången. Alla bilderna är tagna på UWAs utställningsområde för UWA 3D Open Art Challenge för påskmånaden.


Jag skriver inte ut namnen på konstverken eller på konstnärerna. Det är interaktiv konst som ska upplevas på plats. Gör som Apmel och använd en del av den återstående påsken till en konstrunda. Här finns mycket att upptäcka.

[engrama] på Fride live en början på en fin tradition

En gång är ingen gång, men Milli och Apmel konstaterade detta var andra gången de sett [engrama] på Frides.


Det var inte så mycket påskstämning men härlig vårstämning denna påskdagsafton även om det fanns en del bunnies i publiken :)


Inte ofta Apmel lyckats fånga sina tre vänner Ultra, Betty och Flora på samma bild.


Själv hade Apmel lagt av sig bunnykostymen från det feltajmade påskkortet (man ska enligt gammal sed aldrig säga Glad Påsk förrän långfredan är över) och tagit på sig proletärkostymen. Detta var också feltajmat, vilket min petiga tyska vän, ush, också kärvänligt påpekade :))

Påsk i München

Vanadis har ett antal inlägg om München i SL på sin blogg. I början på april hittade även farbror Ib dit till en utställning som pågår april månad ut i Kulturzentrum.


Så här i påsktid hittar man naturligtvis en påskmarknad mitt i stan.

Apmel överlåter i sin tur filosoferandet till husse som i veckan läst ut den nya boken "The Beginning of Infinity" av David Deutsch. Den enda riktigt nya idén David kommer med i förhållande till sin klassiker "The Fabric of Reality" från 1997 är att den mänskliga kreativiteten uppkommit som ett sätt att säkrare överföra idéer från en hjärna till en annan. Till en början som en slags felkorrigering till den imitation som även djur behärskar.

Uncanny primatar

Undrar om det inte finns en uncanny valley-effekt som gäller när man inte riktigt känner igen sig på kort eller i spegeln längre, men som i bästa fall upphör när man tar av sig glasögonen eller när man börjat acceptera sin ålder :)
