Opening Thursday January 27th 1.30 PM (SL Time)
Il Giardino di Arte Libera (Solaris Island)
IF THIS IS A MAN
If this is a man
You who live safe
In your warm houses,
You who find warm food
And friendly faces when you return home.
Consider if this is a man
Who works in mud,
Who knows no peace,
Who fights for a crust of bread,
Who dies by a yes or a no.
Consider if this is a woman
Without hair, without name,
Without the strength to remember,
Empty are her eyes, cold her womb,
Like a frog in winter.
Never forget that this has happened.
Remember these words.
Engrave them in your hearts,
When at home or in the street,
When lying down, when getting up.
Repeat them to your children.
Or may your houses be destroyed,
May illness strike you down,
May your offspring turn their faces from you.

NOT TO FORGET...
Nessuno Myoo, Kicca Igaly and Icarus Robbiani at Arte Libera
We have choosen this italian author Primo Levi's poem as flyer of this performance, organized by a group of italian people.
When some months ago Nessuno Myoo told me about a sculpture ispired by holocaust he had then only in his mind I immediately fell in love with this project that after few time involved Kicca Igaly and then Icarus Robbiani, with the idea of add to these immersive works good photos with the same artistic values. With Icarus worked some other creatives (Mila Tatham, Rodriguez Imako, Lipsko Loopen, Riri Bazar, Buffy Holfe) who helped him to realize the picture he had in his mind. But an exhibit in Second Life could be easily a total experience, so I and Grazietta Cazenove decided to work in founding interesting literature pieces (unfortunately only in italian) and a real life italian actor, Donchisciotte Crescendo, asked us to read it in the suggestive atmosphere created by these artworks. At last a person in real life close to me worked to find the good music for this performance.
We are all very entusiastic at the idea to can contribute “To not forget...” and with few words we all felt the same spirit of this exhibit that is a message of hope, that you can find everywhere as love for life in every circumstances.

Life Again by Nessuno Myoo
'Life Again' is a work that speaks the difficult and delicate theme of the Holocaust. The entire narrative structure is full of references that recall at the sad atrocities of nazism: from pylons of high voltage that demarcating the areas of concentration camps to big headlights that project light cold to ground, from the numbers in the relief inside the intern ring that symbolizes milions of victims and the dehumanization of deporteds.
The central figure is emblematic for the story that i want tell you. It represents a woman, trasformed in a really breeding machine, blocked and with the stomack full of childrens that coming out of her. A breeding machine for a new species. Perfect. But this is only the words of a crazy. A criminal crazy. And the woman forced at ground knowing this and have eyes only for a little children, different from all the others. Because the really rich of life is the differents that each have inside. From this the positive message that is also the name of the work: Life Again.
Never again by Kicca Igaly
Date creation: 09/2010
Author comments:"Those who do not learn from history, is intended to repeat it ". I often dwell on this words, with particular attention what happened to worse in the last century: the Holocaust. I also consider the other major genocides, often made in the name of absurd ideals, from unbalanced responsible. In this fantasy context, I represented the hope with a flower, toward which the prisoner figure awnings the hand. At the shoulders, a nightmare scene, with one oven crematory. Never again of these horrendous crimes .... we learn from our mistakes.
