Nytt besök på Nordan Art Gallery
Den nya utställningen på Flora Nordenskiolds Nordan Art Gallery öppnade den 18 september med konst av Kicca Igaly, Natsha Lemton, Del May och Bliss Violet.
Apmel missade öppningen men jag tycker att ni ska läsa om den och utställningen på Floras blogg.
Det finns gott om tid att studera utställningen som pågår till den 12 november.
En annan orsak att komma hit är att träffa curatorn Flora som är utlandssvenska och säkert bara blir glad över att få tala sitt gamla modersmål.

Många seriösa samtal i helgen
Den här var helgen med många seriösa samtal i SL.
På tu man hand och i grupp.
Om någon nu trodde det så handlade det oftast INTE om just SL utan om RL angelägenheter.
Om droger, vetenskap, politik och konst.
Men även lite om nya händelser på Solace Island.
Men såklart fanns det plats för nöjen.
Musik är något man alltid kan ta seriöst på även i trevligt sällskap.
Därför var det extra tråkigt att musikstreamen på lördagens stora konsthappening inte hade kapacitet för alla som var där.

Motivationskickar
Några samlades till ett spontant möte på Thothica idag för att diskutera: Why do you come to SL? Why do you keep coming back?
Husse behövde en motivationskick och bestämde sig för att lyssna istället för att låta farbror IB babbla själv. Här är bara lite av vad som sas...
- i come for art, to look at it and to build also of course, talking with people
- me like the music to
- I think chat is the most interesting. the graphics are very cool. but the people are endlessly complicated and variable. more interesting to figure out
- I think we have many eons of responding to the human form and sl makes enough of a bridge in that direction to be compelling
- it is very much a neurological interface that maps onto our more subconscious perceptual templates, I think. gives SL a real psychological wallop ;)
- so would I be right in rephrasing that to say that sl is a tool we have developed that can effectively extend how we interface with the world? and because it is an interface, it changes/affects how we perceive the world, what we believe the world to be
- I have noticed a lot of people go through big changes in rl while they are in sl
- this is a grat place to learn about yourself, and about others...
- i now what i have found, but, what i am looking for..still dont know
- so another way into this question that I think is interesting is what we call what we DO here. Do we "play" sl? Do we participate in it? What is the verb?
- i say, i am going to sl, like its a place
- "go" makes it sounds like it is still you here. you go to the grocery store and you go to sl. a continuity of self?
-I wonder how much better we want the immersion experience to be. there is some advantage to having it *similar* yet clearly distinct from rl
- i like to explore all the gardens too
- Being able to talk to folks of a sort I would never meet in rl
- and dance whenever I want
- but then, sl is sometimes unbearably lonely
- yes, but the difference in peoples' behavior well defines, the difference between "emotional" danger and "actual" danger, at least as the brain sees these things subconsciously
- i have had my heart broken here.tok forever to recover
- so, thats a real danger

Höstdrag på Villa Apmel
Vissa av de boende på Villa Apmel hade redan börjat se fram emot alla höstbaler.Och farbror IB hade som vanligt synpunkter på vad som borde göras.
Sagt och gjort. Det bästa med att ha varit i Second Life länge är att hantverksjobbet går så snabbt! Apmel hade redan allt i inventoryt.
Apmel berättade för grannen vad han hade gjort.
Kandi kom över såg och gillade och beslutade på stående fot att öppna en genväg in till Apmels.
Det är knappast fel att bara ha ett par steg mellan inglasad svensk höst och hennes ångande uteplats med kreolsk stämning och musik.
Denna eftermiddag med trevligt besök från före detta Solacebon Gazania och min andra granne Milli.
Senare på kvällen såg gamle solaceisländaren Gojster till att ge glasverandan en prägel av "finlandsbåt". Nåja, Apmel och Milli hjälpte också till och även Apmelina släppte ner håret :)
Gojsters "kusin" Wilhelm anslöt också till den illustra skaran.
Millimina Salamander: vilken succe din finländsfärja är apmel.. eller iaf en finlandsbåtlounge typ
Wilhelm Ametza: det är bara karaokebaren som fattas
