Who said that white is lack of something? White is all the colours together, white is the will to fill, white is the moment of inspiration. And this exhibition named «"White" at the table. Italian majolica between 1500 and 1600» offers some spaces for reflection. Almost a premise.
The archæologists, by organizing their museums with statues and shards, have accustomed us to imagine an ancient world populated by ceramists and sculptors and an ancient age comprised between the «Cnidian Aphrodite» and «Euphronios Krater». But the archæologists know well that, behind every «Cnidian Aphrodite» and behind every «Euphronios Krater» there is the silent, anonymous and very hard work of those who spent their lives in the workshops, behind the furnaces. Furnaces have produced so many works of men. Behind the furnaces techniques that were used until recently have been perfected. Glass, metals, ceramics, not to mention bread, have taken form and consistence in these small hot environments, maneuvered by men who left no trace in history but that of the masonry that has been brought to light by an archæology granting more attention to work than to the masterpiece.

And now, after centuries, majolica is being "virtually" rebuilt thanks to the silent work of the designers of the metaverse. Through their continuous study, effort and passion, they propose a part of the exhibition actually at the Musei Capitolini in the island of MiC – Musei in Comune di Roma Capitale, with a surprising installation.
The designers engaged in the 3D rebuilding of the objects of the exhibit are:
Rumegush Altamura
Terence Back
Patrizia Blessed
Veronik Broome
Merlino Mayo
Yaia Nishi
Salahzar Stenvaag

Technical coordination by Patrizia Blessed
Artistic Management by Mexi Lane

The installation will be presented in preview at the Digital Café of the Fair of Small and Medium Publishers "More Books, more freedom", on 5th december at 17:00, through live streaming on RAI.it. After that, it will reach the real exhibit at the Musei Capitolini, through a video that will be projected in the multimedia hall for the remaining time of the exhibit.

All the participants to the inauguration of the installation in Second Life, on wednesday 24th november, will be part of the video projected at the Musei Capitolini.
