Farbror IB saknar Reflection Freenote´s Seminars in Experiential Cyber Psychology som pågått en längre tid på onsdageftermiddagar. En av alla intressanta avor som dök upp där var svenskan Quintessential Sorbet (hennes blogg finns med bland länkarna till höger) som håller i dessa seminarier en tisdag i månaden på bra svensktid med det "blygsamma" målet att utarbeta en helt ny ekonomisk teori med tydlig inspirationskälla i kvantfysiken:

The purpose of this workshop is to study how to construct a new economic theory starting from an “economical quantization” postulate:
--- Economy and economical activity consists of discrete transactions where people exchange materials, goods, services, immaterial property rights or anything that can be assigned a legal ownership.

The idea of developing a new “microscopic theory” is to focus on characterizing all the things that affect individual transactions, rather than studying the behaviour of buyers or sellers with simplified models as traditional microeconomical theories tend to do. Also the idea would be to characterize real life transaction events in contrast to game theoretical approaches, which in most cases are restricted to studying the behavior of “rational agents” instead of real life human beings who also influence each other emotionally through a negotiation process.

Thus the workshop has a very multidisciplinary approach that can involve economics, theory of negotiation, psychology, sociology, applied mathematics, mathematical physics and several disciplines of applied philosophy. No prior experience in economics is needed, but some in-depth knowledge in any of the mentioned disciplines is advantageous.

When discussing mathematical modelling, some emphasis will be in studying if there are mathematical tools that can be borrowed from contemporary quantum physics theory and applied to quantized economic interactions.
