Ämne: Anti-Blasphemy Resolution Passed by UN

The UN, an organization that was created to stop global conflicts, becomes yet another way for clerics to impose their religion on the world. Of course Muslin nations have been pushing to get rid of the concept of human rights for a couple of years and last year they got a nonbinding anti-blasphemy resolution passed. Well, it now looks like they have followed up that nonbinding resolution with an actual resolution to get countries to make blasphemy illegal. Of course they say it's against defamation of religion but that's blatantly crap. I've had trouble finding anything from BBC or CNN on this topic to see what the status of this resolution is but it has passed the general assembly. PZ Myers has most of the content I've seen about this so far on his blog http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2009/02/talk_fast_we_might_be_criminal.php including an interview of Hitchens by Lou Dobbs.

"Canada rejects the basic premise that religions have rights; human rights belong to human beings," said Catherine Loubier, spokeswoman for Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon.
